Torrance Memorial IPA is a multi-specialty physician network providing convenient access to high-quality and personalized care with over 500 primary care and specialty physicians, as well as nationally recognized Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
Dr. Yu completed his residency in family medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and had been board certified since 2004. He spent an extra year as the chief resident and completed a fellowship in faculty development where he specialized in instruction and chronic disease management. Dr. Yu received his bachelor's degree in biology from UC Irvine before attending Loma Linda University for his medical training.
He is experienced with managing patients with urgent or chronic illnesses. He volunteers regularly as a clinical instructor at Harbor-UCLA Family Medicine residency program.
He enjoys teaching and working with patients to manage their illnesses and improve their health. Besides work, he enjoys church, family outings, and sports.
