Individual & Family Health Plans
We work with most major health plans, including PPOs. Torrance Memorial Physician Network also accepts Torrance Memorial IPA and Health Care Partners IPA - South Bay HMOs.

How It Works
If Torrance Memorial Physician Network is contracted with your current health plan, we will bill your insurance on your behalf. Please arrive at your appointment prepared to provide your insurance card along with current and accurate information, including your name, address and other important information. Your plan may require co-payments and deductibles that should be paid when you check in for service.
Please be aware that benefits vary depending on your plan. Some visits, procedures or tests, may not be covered. Balances not paid by your insurance are your responsibility and will be billed to you on a monthly statement. Please contact your insurance company for questions about your benefits, including coverage, participation, referral information, restrictions, deductible status and co-pay requirements.

Covered California
Covered California’s vision is to improve the health of all Californians by assuring their access to affordable, high quality care. The Torrance Memorial Physician Network is a contracted provider with the following insurance plans:
- Anthem PPO
- Anthem HMO (must select Torrance Memorial IPA as your medical group)
- Blue Shield PPO
- Blue Shield of California HMO (must select Torrance Memorial IPA as your medical group)

Medicare
If you are covered by Medicare Part B, Torrance Memorial Physician Network will bill Medicare for the services you receive. You will not need to complete claim forms.
Torrance Memorial Physician Network also accepts many Medicare plans, including Medicare Advantage plans. These may cover the costs of many services that are not covered by straight Medicare. However, please note that this is not always guaranteed and may vary by each plan.
Medicare Advantage Plans
The Medicare Advantage plans accepted at Torrance Memorial Physician Network have $0 monthly premiums. Medicare Advantage plans have the lowest out-of-pocket costs and the most benefits when compared to original Medicare and supplemental plans. Plans also include prescription coverage, preventive care, and less paperwork.
